ABOUT
Ellie Omori-Sampson was born in Japan, and raised on the vibrant island of ʻOahu, Hawaiʻi at the age of 3. Growing up, her love for the arts and entrepreneurship sprouted when she attempted to create the first “theatre club” in the 2nd grade before she knew what that even fully meant! From her mom playing the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack in the car to performing in her very first musical at the age of 11, she found the love for musical theatre and has continued to nurture it ever since. What was once just a passion for singing and dancing, has now transformed into a dedication towards promoting and producing theatre that highlights authentic, diverse, and underrepresented voices.
Now based in NYC, she has begun her career in the theatre industry as a Producer. Most recently, she co-produced the off-Broadway production of "Heathers the Musical" with David Treatman Creative at New World Stages.
Ellie graduated from the University of Michigan in 2025 with a B.A. in Political Science Honors and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies, with a minor in Performing Arts Management & Entertainment from SMTD. She previously attended Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
